Today Was A Good Day
I have been a bad blogger and a bad record-keeper of Luke's 9th month. Matt and I will be having a photo shoot this weekend and I promise to post the results soon. In my defense, we have been dealing with sickness and Ferberizing (what if your name became a verb meaning "to let your child cry for a long time"?) and experiencing the world of escrow. However, today was a good day.
Husband got a well-deserved raise and bonus that he was not at all expecting. But he's fantastic and his company knows it and takes good care of him. Yay husband! And yay for a new fridge!
Then, little man Lukas has decided to sleep through the night AND to start taking naps. He is so much happier all day and I get a break to cook and clean and read my stacks and stacks of neglected magazines. Yay for Luke!
And then, we got the call. Escrow is closed! We are now the happy owners of a house in San Juan Capistrano and a big 'ol mortgage. It was a long journey, but once we found this house everything just fell into place. It's like it was meant to be. We can't wait to start furnishing the place and planning Luke's birthday and a housewarming party. We'll even fire up the hot tub (fulla wata! That was for you, husband.) and you are all invited. Yay for parties!
I hope today was also a good day for you, too. Yay for you!
